When I first moved here in 2014 sight unseen from the tropical coast of Florida, I immediately fell in love with the state. There were so many random road trips throughout the state to all hours of the night.

As I reflected back on my photographic journey through Colorado compiling this collection, I find so much wonder in some of my first shots. The time when I didn’t know exactly where I was on my mind map of Colorado.

Since moving here, my life has become almost an obsession of the state and it’s beauty. My late night moments studying maps across different platforms, comparing trails, satellite imagery, and topographical reliefs. Spontaneous trips across the state on foot, skis, snowmobiles, dirt and mountain bikes, Toyotas and now a Jeep, exploring the intricate beauties around the state. When I lived in the mountains, I was constantly on the lookout for dirt roads, making mental notes and returning to spots in every season to know their beauty.

My passions lead me to an obsession with the Colorado Historical Newspaper Collection, a fascinating way to learn about history directly from those living it. Many of the places I found were from spots they spoke about and the spaces they lived in. Their pure resilience inspires me every day to continue to learn more and preserve mystical moments within its beauty.

This collection of images spans my time here through the seasons, special moments of peace and beauty in Colorado. May you enjoy it as much as I do.
